Upon approval of the contract, 76design and the client will meet for a brief kick-off meeting. The overall objective of this phase is to seek input from the client to gain a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities they are facing as well as their objectives and expectations in developing a new website. Once client expectations have been confirmed, 76design will establish and develop a timeline and project schedule. This timeline will be provided to the client to ensure that deadlines are being met on both ends. Once the above deliverables are approved, the project manager and creative director will proceed to develop the creative brief and conduct the internal team briefing prior to commencing the project.
An outline of the interactive piece will be developed working with the client that will ensure all necessary information and issues are being addressed and will additionally provide the whole team with an understanding of exactly how, chronologically, the information will be imparted. Once approved, it will be used as the directional basis for the development of the storyboard and script.
The storyboard and script are developed in close succession. 76design will work closely with the client in developing a scene by scene account of the presentation from a visual, audio and content perspective. The script will be developed by 76design; the client will be expected to review and provide feedback as necessary. The storyboard and script gives some structure to the interactive piece and allows both designers and developers to visualize exactly how the entire piece will come together. Following final script & storyboard approval, the content will be translated by 76design or the client into the French language.
76design will develop a unique design while leveraging aspects of any existing creative already underway at the client’s organization. We will want to develop a look and feel that will best resonate with the audience, it should be engaging, visually appealing and informative. 76design will develop two design mock-ups for client review & refinement. Once a concept is selected and refined to the client’s satisfaction, design of the interface will commence. Essentially the interactive piece begins to visually take shape. At this point, animation will be developed and incorporated into the piece.
76design will source and provide recommendations on voice talent and background audio (if necessary). The client will be provided with three voice and three music options. 76design will seek out royalty free talent and/or music if required. The sample recordings are then submitted to the client for review & selection.
At this stage, 76design will proceed to finalize the interactive piece by editing and adjusting all animation/video files & integrating any necessary transitions. We will also begin to synch up all audio with the visual presentation of both the English and French versions. The interactive piece in its close to final form is submitted to the client for a final review & approval.
76design will not release any work and will not consider it complete until it has undertaken rigorous testing and quality control measures to ensure all functions are operating according to specification. Prior to launch, 76design must ensure that the product is in tip top shape. As a result, we apply a series of quality control measures; we test & review functionality, conduct cross-browser & cross-platform compatibility testing (if applicable), and prioritize & manage any issues found in testing. It is our standard practice to implement web analytics & metrics on all websites & occasionally on interactive multimedia pieces.
Once 76design has completed its QA testing and has managed any found issues, the multimedia piece will be in a good position to send to the client for a final review and approval. Once we have received client approval, we will package all files and deliver to the client as requested.
